How we research, verify and correct what we publish
SiamMiles is a small independent publication. This page explains where our numbers come from, how often we check them, and what we do when we get something wrong.
Our scope
We cover one narrow topic: converting reward points earned in Thailand — K Bank K Point, Bangkok Bank Thank You Rewards, KTC FOREVER Points, TrueYou TruePoint and GrabCoins — into airline miles with Royal Orchid Plus, Asia Miles, AirAsia rewards and KrisFlyer. We deliberately do not cover programs we cannot verify first-hand or that are not available to people living in Thailand.
Where our numbers come from
- Primary sources first. Every transfer ratio, minimum transfer amount and processing time on this site is taken from the issuing bank's or airline's own published terms — the official promotion page, points catalogue or program terms and conditions. We link to the source wherever we quote a rate.
- Mile valuations are estimates. The baht-per-mile figures used in the calculator are our own estimates based on the cost of representative award redemptions compared with the equivalent cash fares. They are not published by the airlines and other analysts will reasonably arrive at different figures. Our method and assumptions are described on the guide page.
- No hearsay. We do not publish ratios from forum posts, social media or third-party blogs unless we can confirm them against an official source.
How often we check
Transfer partners and ratios in Thailand change frequently, often with little notice. Our aim is to re-check every ratio against its official source at least once per calendar month, and immediately whenever a program announces a change. Each content page shows a "last reviewed" date in the footer; if a date is more than 60 days old, treat the figures with additional caution and confirm them in the issuer's app before transferring.
Independence and advertising
- SiamMiles is not owned by, affiliated with, or paid by any bank, airline, telco or loyalty program covered on the site.
- The site may display advertising (including Google AdSense) and may in future contain affiliate links, which are always disclosed on the page and in our affiliate disclosure. Advertisers and affiliate partners have no input into which programs we cover, the ratios we publish, or how we rank or describe them.
- We do not accept payment for reviews, placements or "sponsored" rankings.
Corrections
If you find a ratio, minimum or fee that is out of date or wrong, please tell us via the contact page and include a link to the official source if you have it. We aim to verify and correct genuine errors within seven days and will note material corrections on the affected page.
Use of automated tools
We use software to build the calculator and to help draft and translate text. Every published figure is checked by a person against the official source before it goes live, and the Thai-language version of each page is reviewed for accuracy against the English original. No page on this site is published without human review.

SiamMiles is published by KF Technology Solutions (ABN 66 393 679 405), an Australian-registered sole trader based between Perth and Bangkok. You can reach the operator through the contact page. More about the site's purpose is on the About page.
